Using Data

Mailing Lists

When requesting data for mailing lists please ensure you submit the request in good time and indicate when the communication will be sent. You are strongly advised not to re-use old mailing lists as these may no longer be accurate.

When sending bulk student mailings you are encouraged to contact the Student Communications team for advice and guidance about wording and schedules. Please note that the Student Records team can send targeted mailings from SITS on standard HTML templates.

Comparing Data to Other Sources

Data supplied by Student Records is extracted ad hoc from SITS and therefore should not be compared to published statistics or management information reports. If data should be extracted according to a specific methodology please indicate this using the form below.

Please note: The form below helps members of the Student Records team to ensure the correct criteria are used when building reports for data requests (often these are unique for a particular request). Building the reports can be time consuming so please ensure you fully complete the form, and specify all the information you require to avoid time being wasted. We can discuss your request over the phone - please indicate at the bottom of the form if you would like to check anything with us before we start working on your report.
