Inactive IT accounts

IT accounts which are not being utilised causes unnecessary expenditure on software licenses and also poses an increased security risk to the University. As such, IT accounts that are not used for 180 days are classed as being ‘inactive’ and will be removed. The University’s policy on Inactive IT accounts clearly defines the process for dealing with these accounts and the notification process for giving users ample time to take action to prevent their accounts being removed.
