Academic Development Events in Colleges
The Academic Development team in Education Enhancement have led on, and/or made significant contributions to many developmental events in Colleges. These events, developed and delivered in partnership with College-based academic colleagues are focused, collaborative and creative in design and tone.
The events focus on sharing the many examples of good practice from extensive research and from excellent methodologies used throughout the college and the university as a whole as well as looking at solutions to specific challenges.
In addition to these larger events, the College Education Advisers within the team regularly work alongside individual academic staff and smaller subject-based groups, in their Colleges, in relation to a wide range of teaching, curriculum development, assessment, evaluation, student support and supervision-related topics.
The team also delivers the Higher Education Academy-accredited Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (LTHE) course for postgraduate teaching assistants, and the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PCAP) programme for early career staff.
