School Projects 2009-10
In July 2009, Academic Schools were invited by Education Enhancement to bid for funds of up to £5,000 over one year, to enhance their existing personal tutoring and student support provision.
These ranged from evaluation-based projects, exploring different models of tutoring taking place within a single School, in order to share best practice (Graduate School of Education; College of Engineering, Maths and Physical Sciences) to the linking of personal tutoring with a professional skills module (Business School) and the integration of an assessed PDP exercise in the first year (School of Sports Science).
In June 2010, the projects' outcomes were disseminated at a 'Sharing Practice' event. This was attended by members of project teams, Senior Tutors, Directors of Education and other interested individuals.
The link below gives details of all seven of the completed projects, including main findings and recommendations from the project teams.
