Accessing your support
If you have declared your disability on your application form, the DRC will have written to you. When you arrive at University, please register with the DRC as soon as possible.
You will need to bring with you a copy of your Educational Psychologist's report or medical evidence, plus your Technical Needs Assessment report if you have one. This will enable us to arrange support for your course. If you have received extra time in your examinations at school, you will need to make us aware of this as soon as possible to ensure that this is arranged before your first set of examinations. Please be aware that even if you have received extra time at school, if you do not arrange this with us you will not receive your extra time in your exams.
If you have been recommended one-to-one specialist study skills tuition, mentoring or non-medical helper support such as note taking, you need to request this by visiting the DRC.
If you declare your disability at registration or at any other time during your studies, please follow this up with a visit to the DRC to discuss and arrange any support you might need.
