About AccessAbility in Exeter
AccessAbility aims to support students and staff with disabilities by providing advice, guidance, signposting to other services and, in some cases, face-to-face assistance with accessing learning and teaching opportunities
The range of support that AccessAbility is able to provide might include:
Students:
- one-to-one tuition for specific learning difficulties
- diagnostic tests for specific learning difficulties
- readers or scribes in examinations
- arrangement of sign language interpreters
- note-takers, campus guides, library or laboratory assistants
- arrangement of examination accommodations such as extra time, use of a computer or separate room.
Staff:
- advice and guidance on supporting students with disabilities
- training on inclusive learning and teaching or specific disabilities
- networking opportunities with other staff in sharing best practice
- signposting to, or liaison with, other services where appropriate
We aim to respond to contact within 2 working days.
