About AccessAbility in Exeter

AccessAbility aims to support students and staff with disabilities by providing advice, guidance, signposting to other services and, in some cases, face-to-face assistance with accessing learning and teaching opportunities

 

 

The range of support that AccessAbility is able to provide might include:

Students:

  • one-to-one tuition for specific learning difficulties
  • diagnostic tests for specific learning difficulties
  • readers or scribes in examinations
  • arrangement of sign language interpreters
  • note-takers, campus guides, library or laboratory assistants
  • arrangement of examination accommodations such as extra time, use of a computer or separate room.

Staff:

  • advice and guidance on supporting students with disabilities
  • training on inclusive learning and teaching or specific disabilities
  • networking opportunities with other staff in sharing best practice
  • signposting to, or liaison with, other services where appropriate

We aim to respond to contact within 2 working days.
