Mindapples: What 5 things do you do every day, or regularly, to look after your mind?

National University Mental Health and Wellbeing Day

Wednesday 22 February 2012

The first national Universities Mental Health and Wellbeing day is on Wednesday 22 February.

The focus of the day is to promote the mental health of people who work or study in Higher Education.

The national campaign focuses on five simple steps incorporated into daily living to improve mental health and encourage us to take our own wellbeing seriously.  These are:

  • connect with the people around you
  • do something active
  • take notice of the world
  • learn something new
  • give to others

There will be a series of events on Wednesday 22 February coordinated by the University Wellbeing Services. This includes a ‘mind apples’ tree in Devonshire House foyer, Streatham Campus, with apples exchanged for pledges by staff and students to look after their mental wellbeing.

We would like you to consider what you do already and what you could do differently to look after your mental wellbeing.

Events on 22 February:

Unless otherwise stated, please just turn up on the day to take part in these events.
