Registration 2011/12

University registration is completed by all students at the start of each academic year. By registering with the University you are agreeing to the University’s current regulations. Late registration will incur a £50 fee, and if you do not register you will lose your IT access and library borrowing rights

Registration

How do I register?

Please log in to MyExeter and follow the registration instructions.

I’m unable to log in to MyExeter. What should I do?

Your password is case-sensitive – check that the Caps Lock is not on and try re-typing again. If this does not work, please contact the IT Help Desk on +44 (0)1392 723934 during normal working hours. Please have your student number to hand.

I receive an error message about session cookies when I try to log in to MyExeter. What should I do?

In your web browser go to Tools, Internet Options, click on the Privacy tab, Edit/Sites. Enter the address www.my.exeter.ac.uk then click Allow, then OK.

The screen says I have not progressed from last year but my College has confirmed my progression. What should I do?

Exeter-based students: please contact Registry Services - Exeter.

Cornwall-based students: please contact Registry Services- Cornwall.

My programme is incorrect when I try to register online. What should I do?

Please do not continue with the registration process. Select the appropriate option on the registration screen to tell us about the problem. We will reply by email - to your University email account - within two working days to let you know what you need to do next.

How do I register if I miss the deadline?

Exeter-based students: please contact Registry Services - Exeter.

Cornwall-based students: please contact Registry Services- Cornwall.

How can I tell if my online registration was successful?

You will receive an email, which will be sent to your University email address. You will also see a message telling you that you are registered when you log in to MyExeter.

IT

I don’t know my IT username and password. What should I do?

If you are a new student, please use your four digit security code or your UniCard number to retrieve your IT username and password from the IT activation page.

If you have forgotten your username and password, please contact the IT Help Desk on +44 (0)1392 723934.

I have activated my IT account. Am I registered?

No. Please now log on to MyExeter and follow the registration instructions.

Can I use my new UniCard to collect my username and password immediately?

No. If your card was printed today you can use it to collect your username and password tomorrow.

My IT access has been removed. What should I do?

If you did not register by the deadline please contact Registry Services - Exeter, if you are Exeter-based, or Registry Services - Cornwall, if you are Cornwall-based.

Where do I collect my UniCard?

New Exeter-based students: If you have not received your UniCard prior to your arrival at Exeter, you can collect it from the following locations:

New Distance Learning Students: Your UniCard will be posted to your home address.

Where can I get a letter for my bank/council tax office proving I am a student?

Exeter-based students: please see Student Status letters in the left hand navigation menu.
Cornwall-based students: please contact Registry Services - Cornwall.

Who do I see if I need to extend my visa?

Exeter-based students: please contact the International Support Office: isa@exeter.ac.uk to arrange an appointment
Cornwall-based students: please contact International Student Support based at Registry Services- Cornwall, Peter Lanyon Building reception.

How do I find out what modules I am enrolled on?

View your module enrolments using the ‘Student Record’ tab of MyExeter.
