UniCard
The UniCard is issued to all staff and students.
The UniCard serves as:
- Library card,
- access to online electronic resources
- identifies you as a member of the University and access to it's services
- Access to buildings
- NUS discount in conjunction with an NUS Extra card
- discounted fares arranged for students on Stagecoach Devon buses
- Subsidised fares with First Bus in Cornwall
Exeter Student UniCard
New students
Once the University of Exeter have confirmed your place, apply for your UniCard by emailing your:
- name
- student number
- photo
If you are unable to do this you can request a hard copy application form be sent to you by emailing sid@exeter.ac.uk
Your UniCard will be posted to your home address prior to your arrival. If you do not receive your card prior to your arrival at University you can collect it from the Student Information Desk in the Student Services Centre
New International students: You may collect your UniCard from the Student Services Centre once your passport and qualification documents have been checked by our Admissions team.
If you will not be in attendance at the University your UniCard will be posted to your home address.
New distance learning students: (including International students) Your UniCard will be posted to your home address.
Replacement Cards
Lost or broken cards are replaced at a charge of £6 and can be ordered at our online store
Stolen cards can be replaced free of charge through the Student Information Desk Online Please provide your crime reference number in your enquiry.
If you are experiencing difficulties with your UniCard please visit the Student Information Desk in the Student Services Centre where we can test your card.
If you need a replacement card immediately, please come in person to the Student Services Centre in the Forum between 8am and 8pm
Cornwall Student UniCard
The University Card Office is located in Room A053 Peter Lanyon Building, University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.

New students: You can apply for a UniCard by emailing your name, student number, course information and photo to cornwall-cardoffice@exeter.ac.uk. If you are unable to do this you can request a hard copy application form be sent to you by emailing cc-registry@ex.ac.uk or by telephoning: +44 (0)1326 371816.
Collection of UniCards:
Unicards will not be posted to you before you arrive, instead they can be collected from the Peter Lanyon Building Reception
Lost, stolen or damaged cards: If your UniCard is lost or stolen please notify the Cornwall Card Office immediately. A non-refundable fee, currently £6.00, is charged to replace damaged or lost UniCards. You can apply in person for a replacement card which can be issued immediately at at the Cornwall Card Office, Peter Lanyon Building, Cornwall Campus. Replacement fees are waived where UniCards have been stolen, but only in cases where you have reported the theft to the Police and provide a valid police report/crime number when you collect/request your replacement UniCard. We are unable to reactivate a UniCard reported lost or stolen if it is recovered.

You will receive an application form for a new UniCard from INTO Reception. Please complete the form and provide a colour, passport size photograph (head and shoulders only) to:

Students will be able to collect their ID cards at the relevant registration sessions during Welcome Week.
Exeter Staff UniCard
New staff
Once you have returned your contract to HR, apply for your UniCard by emailing your:
- name
- date of birth
- photo
to universityreception@exeter.ac.uk
Your UniCard will be available to collect from University Reception when you start your employment.
Please note that it is not possible to issue your UniCard until your employment has commenced.
Replacement Cards

Cornwall Staff UniCard
HR will send an application form with your letter of appointment. Please bring the completed form, with a colour, passport size photograph (head and shoulders only) to the Cornwall Card Office in the Peter Lanyon Building when your employment commences or if you are located away from the Campus, send the form with your photograph to: Cornwall Card Office, University of Exeter Cornwall Campus, Peter Lanyon Building, Penryn, Cornwall TR10 9EZ; or email the application form with a JPEG file attachment of yourself (head and shoulders only) to cornwall-cardoffice@exeter.ac.uk Please note that it is not possible to issue your UniCard until your employment has commenced.
Other categories
Individuals who have a work related reason to access University facilities and therefore require a UniCard, should contact their College Dean or Supervisor who will verify their status with the UniCard issuer.
Conditions of use
- The UniCard is the property of the University and must be returned to the Student Information Desk (student) or the University Reception (staff) when your employment/course ends.
- You will be required to produce the UniCard when accessing University facilities.
- You should not allow anyone else to use your UniCard.
- Your UniCard will act as your Library Card: users of the Library must comply with Library Regulations.
- Data Protection Act 1998: Personal information held on the UniCard Database will be treated confidentially and will only be used for the purposes of card administration, identity checking purposes and where necessary, shared with other departments in the University to enable members of staff and students to access University services.
