How Long Can I Borrow Items For ?
The length of loan depends on the type of item you wish to borrow:
For all Exeter Libraries

|---|---|
| Normal loan | 28 days (or 1 year for academic staff) |
| Short loan | 1 week |
| Journals | 1 day (or 1 week for academic staff & postgraduates) |
| Ready Text | 24 hours and over the weekend |
| Temporary Reserve | 24 hours and over the weekend |
| DVD | Undergraduates - 24 hours and over the weekend Postgraduates - 72 hours (3 days) Staff - 120 hours (5 days) |
| VHS | Undergraduates - Cannot be loaned Postgraduates - 48 hours Staff - 1 week |
| School-based work (PGCEs) | 28 days |
| Reference only | Cannot be loaned |
For Cornwall Libraries

| Normal loan | 28 days (or 1 year for academic staff) |
| Short loan | 1 week |
| Journals | Cannot be loaned |
| Overnight | Overnight & weekends |
| VHS/DVD | Overnight & weekends |

Please note:
- Any items you borrow can be renewed as many times as you wish, as long as no one else has placed a booking or reservation on them.
