Alumni of the University can become borrowers

Alumni of Exeter University

Library Regulations permit the University to allow alumni of the University to borrow items from the University Library, on the following conditions:

  • Payment of a non-refundable registration fee of £35.
  • No more than four items may be borrowed at a time; the loan period is 4 weeks for normal loan books, 1 week for short loan items, and 1 day for journals. Books may be recalled for use by other readers before the expiry of the original loan period; these books must be returned by the amended due date. Fines will be charged on overdue items.
  • Use of Interlibrary Loan facilities may be made. The current charge is £8.50 per request. Fines will be charged on overdue items.
  • Access to the online resources to which the library subscribes is only available through the Walk-in access facilities provided in the Forum and St Luke's Libraries. The legal requirements of the University site licences do not allow off-site access by the public.

Alumni do have access to a limited number of online journals via EBSCO.  Visit Exonline for details on how to access the journals.
