Library Equipment in AWDU

The library is expanding the range of equipment offered to our customers. A2 Black & White Bookcopy Scanner

Printed material can be saved to a USB memory stick as an alternative to photocopying. Files can be saved in a variety of formats, e.g. pdf multipage, tif, jpeg. Suitable for single page documents, chapters of books or articles (in accordance with copyright regulations). There is no charge for the use of this scanner. Please ensure you bring a USB device with you.

Microfilm/Microfiche Reader

The microfilm/microfiche reader is linked to a computer, enabling scans to be edited and saved or emailed as attachments.

Photocopier

A black and white photocopier is available. Undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, external visitors and research postgraduates and staff from outside the Institute of Arab & Islamic Studies should pay in cash. Costs are 6p per A4 copy and 10p per A3 or double-sided A4 copy.
