ResNet service
The ResNet service connects you to the main University computer network, allowing you to access your personal files, your University e-mail and the normal range of services you would expect to find available from most commercial broadband services and in addition, Freewire TV and VoIP telephony services.
The ResNet service is available in most halls of residence in and around both the Streatham and St Lukes campuses in Exeter. The Cornwall campus runs a similar service which is detailed on the Cornwall campus Residential Network pages.
Terms and conditions of use
It is important to read and understand the relevant Terms and Conditions for use of ResNet.
Also, you should be familiar with the conditions for using JANET (JANET provide the University's connection to the Internet) and the University of Exeter's computer use policy.
Setting up your computer to use the ResNet Service
Academic Services produce a ResNet Doc for Web 2012 which shows you the steps needed to set up your computer on the Residential Network - ResNet.
