The Academic Services software office provides advice, guidance and processes orders for software in the following areas:
- Frequently used software
- Staff and postgraduate use on University-owned computers
- Staff and postgraduate use on personally-owned computers
- Student entitlement for site-licensed software and where student discounts may be available
- Specialist research software
- Open-access (cluster) software
- Software installed in Academic Services open-access (cluster) computer rooms
