Employability team celebrate two awards

The University of Exeter took home two awards at the Association of Graduate Recruiters Annual Conference this week.

As well as being the overall winner for Graduate Development, the University also received the Blue Ribbon award as voted for by students and employers. The award is widely regarded as the top accolade for employability and graduate recruitment.

The AGR Awards aim to champion the best practice in the industry by showcasing initiatives which are creative and effective, and attract high quality graduates.

Exeter is the first University to win the overall sector award, joining past winners such as IBM and Bank of England. Judges highlighted “bold, ambitious and innovative thinking” which helped students to find the right job. They were also very impressed by the University's consultative approach which took on board the advice of employers, and the long-lasting impact of the initiatives on graduates.

Congratulations and well done to the Employability and Graduate Development team for winning these very impressive awards, and many thanks on their behalf to other Academic Services staff who contributed to this effort!
