The time capsule ready for burial

Forum time-capsule buried

A time capsule that gives a snapshot of student life has been buried in the foundations of the new Forum building.

Buried in October 2011, the capsule aims to give future generations an insight into what life was like while the Forum was being built, from what students were talking about, to how the higher education environment was changing.

Items were suggested through a Student as Change Agents project and reflect all aspects of student life here at Exeter, academic or otherwise.

Popular snacks from the campus shop and copies of Exepose made it into the time capsule, as well as memorabilia from student societies and the Guild.

Alumni stories were also added, plus a speech about the student experience and fees by our Vice Chancellor, Professor Sir Steve Smith.

The time capsule's location can be found in the estate records or online via the campus Google map.
